Hobart Dance Academy caters to all dancers, offering a diverse range of disciplines to suit all interests and aspirations. We offer a range of technique classes separate to performance groups and we are an Active Tasmania approved provider – which means you can use your Ticket to Play vouchers with us.
From the dynamic energy of theatrical styles including Jazz, Tap, and Song and Dance, to the timeless elegance of Classical Ballet, our classes are designed to challenge and inspire. For those drawn to storytelling, our Lyrical classes provide a platform to convey emotion through movement. Adventurous spirits can soar in our Acrobatics program, while those seeking some extra groove can join our high-energy Hip-Hop classes.

At the heart of Hobart Dance Academy is a team of highly trained dance educators who bring a wealth of experience, dedication, and professionalism to every class. Each teacher is not only skilled in their own dance discipline but is also committed to nurturing the growth and confidence of every dancer who walks through our doors.
With backgrounds spanning Classical Ballet, Jazz, Tap, Lyrical/Contemporary, Hip-Hop, Acrobatics and Musical Theatre our teaching team offers dancers a well-rounded dance education. Beyond technical training, our team foster creativity, resilience, teamwork, and a lifelong love of performing arts. As role models, our teachers lead with integrity, care, and enthusiasm to ensure that every dancer feels supported on their journey.
At Hobart Dance Academy we also offer a range of guest choreographers (for our more advanced dancers) throughout the year, to expand skill sets and ensure that our dancers are ready to take on the dance industry should they wish.
